Prayer for Healing in Others

"As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you."

God of never-ending mercy and Father of perfect love, thank you for Your Word and for the precious blood of Jesus Christ spilled on our behalf, (1 Peter 1:18-19) and by whose stripes we are healed. (Is. 53:5) Holy God, we thank You for the opportunity we have through Jesus Christ to come before Your throne to receive mercy and find grace to help in our time of need. (Heb. 4:16, Ps. 46:1) And Father we come now in behalf of those who are in need of healing.

(Speak the names of those for whom you pray, and their need.)

You are the Great Physician, Lord, and You know exactly what each of us need in order to be well. Jesus is the very expression of Your willingness to heal. (Matt. 9:35) You are the same yesterday, today, and forever, (Heb. 13:8) and Your Word says the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, for the effective prayer of the righteous--in right standing with God--will accomplish much. (James 5:16)

With the same power that raised Christ from the dead, we ask You, Holy Spirit, that You raise _________ above their disease, above their distress, above their pain, bringing new life into every cell, every vessel, every fiber of their being, even into the bone and marrow. Send healing on the wings of Your Spirit (Malachi 4:2) and answers in amazing and miraculous ways, so that they may find not only comfort and healing, but that You may be glorified through it. (John 11:4)

All power in heaven and earth are Yours Lord (1 Chron. 29:11); impart Your supernatural healing power to ___________. Do not permit these afflictions to remain with him/her/them any longer. Pour out the healing oil of Your perfect love over him/her/them, Father, to dispel any fear or distressful emotions that may hinder healing. (1 John 4:18)  Satisfy his/her/their years with abundant life and lips of praise in the land of the living (Ps. 103:5, Ps. 27:13).

We bless You Lord, and will never forget any of Your benefits, but more so Father, we praise You and worship You just for who You are. Thank you that You pardon all our iniquities and heal all our diseases; redeeming our lives from the pit, and we will rejoice, Father, in the love and compassion with which You crown us. (Ps. 103:2, 3, 4)

Our hope is in You, God. (Ps. 33:22) We thank You in advance for what You are doing in __________'s life and for drawing closer to him/her/them as he/she/they draw/s closer to You in the midst of this circumstance. (James 4:8) May it strengthen the faith of all who surround and attend to them, and may it forever bring glory to You.

Blessed be Your name Lord, from this time forth and forever. (Ps. 113:2) Amen and amen.
