My Current Book

Lessons from the Sticker Patch was officially released for sale in bookstores on May 4, 2010. The book is a compilation of stories first published in a local newspaper as a weekly column.

"It is my hope that Lessons From the Sticker Patch brings encouragement and inspiration to every reader, and do to so through the creative combination of the bumps and bruises of real life and real faith drawn from the vivid accounts of my childhood through parenthood. Every story is woven as well with the truth and wisdom found only in God’s Word. I hope it also stirs memories of your own as you look back and recognize God's immeasurable love in places you never imagined."  ~~ Shari England, author

My purpose for the book was to stir the hearts of those in the church to a closer relationship with the Lord and a deeper place of worship for our heavenly Father. Having been "in the church" for so many years, and living not only a Laodicean life for a number of years, but the life of a prodigal as well, I knew of the complacency that often resides within those who claim the name of Christ, but live as if they do not, just as I did for so many years. It is my desire that by using fun, and even tender personal stories, I might convey the simple message of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the love of the Father and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Surrender is not an option for the faithful follower of Christ, but a requirement. Jesus surrendered His life for us, that we may live a life of complete surrender for Him.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
