As much as we love our children, and struggle with their leaving the nest, it is good to recognize the new season before us and to prepare for it ahead of time. Hmmm...I think I feel another story coming! :)Shari Englandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09724286622966858201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7872396083550372778.post-52007767834235775362011-05-15T05:24:23.298-05:002011-05-15T05:24:23.298-05:00Couldn't agree more. Next week, our oldest daughter moves to Savannah to go to Grad school and in August our youngest will go back to College - I'm not sure it is officially considered empty nest if they visit every few weekends and come home during the summer but it sure feels like it. My husband and I have been looking ahead and I must admit, with mixed feelings. Excited in one aspect but so dreading it in another. Pray for us that we make the transition as God intends!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7872396083550372778.post-19758848926558411272011-05-13T15:49:13.829-05:002011-05-13T15:49:13.829-05:00Oh Shari,

Neither does reconciliation, nor restoration, but take heart—it can and will happen. My husband and I are living proof.

Amen. My daughter will graduate in 2 years. I am soooo looking forward to our empty nest yet will miss that kid terribly.

I am so glad you wrote about this particular subject. I'm discovering that many, many marriages flounder at the empty nest season.

Well done and great advice to young marrieds...
